Overview

The Sarasota Bay Mooring Field lies off downtown Sarasota and is home to over 85 permanent moorings. Marina Jack runs it from the marina ashore, with a full-time staff; stays are taken by the day, the week or the month.

A mooring includes the dinghy dock, showers and laundry at the marina, and the field's own pump-out boat. The office is open seven days a week, 8:00 to 17:00, on 941-955-9488.

The pump-out boat

The field has a pump-out boat of its own, which operates daily inside the field and monitors VHF channel 16 while underway. It is for current mooring field customers only, and the booking goes through the dockmaster's office rather than over the radio.

Going ashore

There are two dinghy docks: H Dock behind the Marina Jack II, and the dock at O'Leary's Tiki Bar & Grill. Fresh water and a place to leave rubbish are at the fuel dock and at the dinghy dock.
