Rates and booking
Effective from 1 Nov 2026Overview
The Fort Pierce City Marina is a publicly owned and operated facility on the Indian River just inside the inlet, with numerous spoil islands in the lagoon off it. The city points arriving boats to a new entrance channel 1/8 mile south of the South Bridge, and the marina answers on VHF 16 and 17.
There are two fuelling stations: diesel is delivered in the slip, and the gasoline is octane 89/90, non-ethanol. Power on the docks runs 30A, 50A and 100A at 110V as well as 220V. Ashore there is a pump-out, laundry, showers and restrooms, free Wi-Fi, two restaurants and a fish cleaning station, and the marina is an official IGFA weigh station.
What it costs, from 1 November 2026
The city's published dockage rates carry an effective date of 1 November 2026, so they are not yet the rates in force as this page is written. For vessels from 25 ft to 67 ft the daily rate is $3.75 per foot; from the first to the third week it is $2.00 per foot per day, and from the fourth week to 4 months $1.50 per foot per day. A stay of 5 to 11 months is $25.75 per foot.
Vessels of 68 ft and larger pay $3.90 per foot per day, or $43.50 per foot of LOA by the month with no pro-rate. Electricity is $6.00 per night for each 30-amp cord and $10.00 per night for each 50-amp single phase cord, a pump-out is $5.00 each, and the live-aboard fee is $185.00 for two people, with a 34 ft minimum vessel length.
Anchoring in the inlet
The water around this marina is not ordinary anchoring ground any more. The city established two anchoring limitation areas within the Fort Pierce Inlet under Sections 327.4108 and 163.07, Florida Statutes, and they became effective 1 June 2026. The first covers 31.2 acres along the waterway's interior channel; the second covers 99.4 acres east toward the inlet.
Inside one of these areas a person may not anchor a vessel for more than 45 consecutive days in any six-month period. The count does not reset by shifting from one area to the other: it restarts only after leaving all anchoring limitation areas for at least 24 hours.
Separately from the areas, Florida requires a no-cost electronic long-term anchoring permit for vessels anchored in state waters 14 days or more within any 30-day period. And the EPA lists the Indian River-Vero Beach to Fort Pierce Aquatic Preserve as a no-discharge zone, 89 FR 79912, dated 1 Oct 2024 — holding tanks stay closed here.
