Flamingo Marina

Everglades National Park's only marina, on Florida Bay at Flamingo: a channel the park gives a four-foot maximum draft at high tide, and three park pages that disagree about fuel.

Overview

Flamingo is Everglades National Park's only marina. The park says it is open year round and operated by Everglades Guest Services, who can be reached on (239) 695-1095. The park gives the marina room for more than 50 boats with electric and water hookups, and there are two motor-boat ramps at Flamingo: one to Florida Bay, one to the Buttonwood Canal.

The marina sits inside the park, so a park entrance pass applies as well as anything the marina charges. A pass for a single vehicle or vessel is $35.00 and is good for seven consecutive days at all park entrances; an annual park pass is $70.00, and a pass for one person arriving by human-powered paddlecraft is $20.00.

The channel, and what it carries

This is the number the park puts first. The park's Flamingo Marina page says the channel will accept a four-foot maximum draft at high tide, and that at slack tide – it writes 0 tide – the channel is approximately two feet deep. The park's facilities page says the same four-foot maximum draft for the channels from both of its boat ramps.

Those figures are the park's own, not a survey, and the difference between them is the tide. Depths here change; the DepthNote above says what these pages can and cannot tell you.

Fuel: three park pages, three answers

Three pages run by the park answer the fuel question differently, and all three were up when this page was checked. The park's facilities page, dated 12 January 2026, says marine fuel, regular gas and diesel fuel are available next to the Marina Store in Flamingo. The park's marinas and boat ramps page, dated 13 March 2023, says boat fuel is temporarily unavailable. The Flamingo Marina page, dated 10 October 2024, lists fuel among what the marina has open, alongside power, 30A water pedestals, pump-out, showers and the marina store.

Two of the three are more recent than the one reporting fuel unavailable, but the park has withdrawn none of them, and we do not decide between them here. Both figures and all three dates stand above. This is a question worth settling by telephone before it matters: Everglades Guest Services takes calls on (239) 695-1095.

Hours and what is ashore

The park gives marina hours of 7am–7pm on season, which it dates mid-November to mid-April, and 9am–5pm off season, mid-April to mid-November. Its 2023 marinas page gives marina store hours of 8 a.m – 7 p.m. The store sells food, drinks, and fishing and camping supplies, and there are bike, canoe, kayak, motorboat and houseboat rentals.

At the dock the park lists power and 30A water pedestals, pump-out and showers for $3. For trailers there are 70 spots at the Florida Bay ramp and 80 at the Whitewater Bay ramp. The boat ramp at West Lake is a different matter: the park opens it only to boats with motors no greater than 6 horsepower.

Good to know

  • Fuel: three park pages disagree, and the newest two say it is available. Call Everglades Guest Services on (239) 695-1095 before you count on it.
  • The tide does the work: the park gives four feet of maximum draft at high tide and approximately two feet at slack tide in the same channel.
  • West Lake ramp: open only to boats with motors no greater than 6 horsepower – it is not an alternative way in for a cruising boat.
  • Park pass: $35.00 for a vehicle or vessel, good for seven consecutive days at all park entrances; $70.00 for the year.
