Clearances are published at Mean High Water. Tide, wind, waves and lake level change what is really there.

“The fixed highway bridge over the waterway here has a clearance of 54 feet.”
NOAA U.S. Coast Pilot 4, 2026 (58th) Edition, Chapter 12 – Intracoastal Waterway

Where it stands

Coast Pilot 4: “Palm City, Mile 9.5, is a small town on the west bank of South Fork” — below the point at Mile 10.1 where the waterway enters St. Lucie Canal.

High water

Coast Pilot 4 adds that during periods of high water in Lake Okeechobee, shoaling may occur in the vicinity of the bridge.

Datum

Coast Pilot 4 chapter 12 does not restate a datum for this bridge clearance; chapter 1 gives cable clearances for the lowest wires at vertical datum, usually mean high water.
